Welcome and introduction

Hi friend,

I hope you are doing well.

Welcome to a blog that is about four years (well technically three) too late. My name is Benjamin, I am a social work student, and I use He/Him/His pronouns. I will be graduating with my BSW (Bachelor's in Social Work) in eight days. I feel like I probably should have started this blog at the beginning of my social work studies, but I feel like it is better to start it now rather than never as I can take this opportunity to reflect on my undergraduate career and tell you about my graduate studies as I work to get my MSW (Master's in Social Work). Here is sort of what you can expect from my blog, in terms of content:

• Reflections on my undergraduate experience.
• Details on and my thoughts about my graduate experience.
• Book reviews on social work and psychology books (I look forward to reviewing The Body Keeps the Score, soon).
• My progress towards getting a CSW and eventually a LCSW.
• Various posts about ethics, research, and social work concepts.

    This blog may change as I work with it and find what my future audience finds useful and interesting. I would like to cater most of my content towards what people find interesting, but I also hope to utilize this blog as a tool to reflect on and improve myself. I may also share some of my personal struggles if I feel like they can be helpful for others, but I am not sure as I do like my privacy. We will see :)

    Full disclosure, I have tried doing blogs and writing in the past and have struggled to be consistent with it. I am not saying I am going to be super consistent with this blog, as in doing a post every week or anything. I hope that I keep up with this blog and do not just stop posting. At the same time, I am not going to do posts if I do not feel like I have something worth posting. So I will do my best to keep up with this blog in order to help others by sharing my experiences.
